It’s because of the brave sacrifices and tremendous effort of so many veterans that we enjoy immense freedoms in America today.
This month, the city of Riverside will honor the contributions of veterans in the Ninth Annual Salute to Veterans Parade on April 19 at 10 a.m. The parade will show our thanks to veterans throughout history, from all over the country, including the Inland Empire.
More than 300 individuals will participate in this exciting parade. Among those participating will be marching bands, color guards, equestrian units, floats, military vehicles, and antique cars.
The parade is set to begin at Riverside Community College and will walk Magnolia Street, Market Street, 10th Street, and Main Street. It will end at the Old Historic Courthouse.
The parade, which is free and family friendly, will be a fun time for all ages. We encourage you to attend with your friends and family to show your support for the men and women who defend our freedoms at home and abroad.
For more information, please visit the Riverside Convention & Visitors Bureau website or the parade website. On the parade website, you can find maps of the route and available parking, as well as information on how you can donate or volunteer.
