This summer, the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside celebrates acclaimed director Alfred Hitchcock with Hitchcock Fridays Film Festival.
Hitchcock is one of the most acclaimed directors of all time, having directed classics such as Psycho, Rear Window, Vertigo, and North by Northwest. He is regarded by many as the most influential filmmaker of all time, thanks to his innovative techniques in the suspense and psychological genres as well as his distinct directing style.
Throughout his career, which spanned more than six decades and more than fifty films, Hitchcock kept audiences on the edge of their seats.
Hitchcock’s films are still beloved by generations. Hitchcock Fridays Film Festival will screen a number of the director’s lesser-known films from the 1940s and ‘50s, including the following:
- Suspicion – August 9
- Strangers on a Train – August 16
- I Confess – August 23
- Stage Fright – August 30
