San Bernardino County Regional Parks offer great places for outdoor recreation, with mountain and desert views as well as specialty parks that include a ghost town and a park right on the Colorado River!
The Yucaipa Trout Derby is the biggest event of the year in San Bernardino’s regional parks. Participants can win $1,000 in cash and other prizes for bringing in the biggest catch of the day. In past years, participants have caught fish weighing over 15 lb. It is sure to be fun for all fishing enthusiasts!
The Yucaipa Trout Derby takes place on January 5, 2012 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Park gates open at 6 a.m. The derby has an entry fee of $20 per person and a vehicle entry fee of $10. State fishing licenses are required.
