Adam Apperson, Legal Analyst
Adam has worked in the criminal law field for nearly eight years and began clerking at the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office in 2013. While working at the District Attorney’s Office, Adam gained significant criminal law experience. He worked extensively in general felonies, the domestic violence unit, the gang unit, and writs and appeals. As a certified law clerk, he has tried both misdemeanor and felony jury trials, conducted 32 preliminary hearings, and has argued before the appellate court.
In 2017, Adam joined the Greenberg, Greenberg & Kenyon, APLC team. Adam draws from his criminal law experience when meeting and working with clients in explaining the criminal justice system, the laws pertaining to their case, and helping in preparation of their criminal defense. Adam also conducts extensive legal research and writing. Adam has written successful motions to dismiss and suppress, mental health diversion, formal expungements, invitations to strike a strike (Romero), bail reduction, compel evidence, early termination of probation, appellant’s opening briefs, respondent’s briefs, and various writs in the District Court of Appeals.
Outside of the office, Adam is an avid rock climber, and enjoys spending time with his fiancée outdoors, exploring national parks, or in the local climbing gym. He is also a devoted Seattle Seahawks fan. Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Riverside and a Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law, where he was awarded the school’s Certificate in Criminal Law Studies. He is slated to take the California Bar Examination in July 2021.
Maricela Gregory, Office Manager
Maricela Gregory joined our team in 2016. Maricela works in two vital roles—paralegal and office manager. Maricela combines her 21 years of legal experience with her excellent ability to relate with clients to make them feel comfortable and confident in their legal representation. Maricela is also bilingual and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is essential in keeping the firm running smoothly and efficiently. Her superior organizational skills are greatly appreciated by our clients, as she manages all aspects of the firm including consultations, client intake, appointment setting, paralegal, secretarial, and client communications. She also provides crucial support to our attorneys. Maricela holds an Associates of Science degree, Certificates in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies, and is a licensed notary public.
Patricia Ramirez, Legal Assistant & Licensed Notary
Patricia joined the Greenberg, Greenberg & Kenyon, APLC team in 2019 as a legal assistant. She works diligently to serve our clients and provide the attorneys with necessary support. Patricia speaks fluent Spanish and English and utilizes her bilingual skillset to assist our diverse clients. As a legal secretary, she primarily fields client calls, conducts client intake, schedules client appointments, updates clients regarding important case developments, helps to schedule DMV hearings, and translates for the attorneys. Because of her vast familiarity with customer service, Patricia understands what it takes to assist our clients and is instrumental to clients’ overall experience with the criminal justice system.
Growing up in San Diego, the beach is Patricia’s “Zen.” She also enjoys hiking, being outside, and spending time with her family.
