The 20th Annual Riverside Festival of Lights, a Riverside tradition, took place on November 23, 2012 and started off the holiday season. The “Switch-On Ceremony” featured holiday decorations and lights as well as family-friendly live entertainment.
The night continued with the opening of Main Street’s outdoor ice skating rink. The rink’s hours will be 4-10pm Monday through Thursday, 4-11pm on Friday, and all day starting at noon on Saturday and Sunday. Skating is $10 an hour, and the rink is open throughout the month of December. As a new addition to the Festival of Lights, Division 9 Gallery will present Artisans Collective, a unique weekly Arts Market. Discover a marketplace with handcrafted and one-of-a-kind art, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, paintings, mosaics, garments, stationary and art demos. Artisans Collective will be open every Thursday through Sunday, 5-10pm until January 5, 2013.
