The Junior League of Riverside is celebrating eighty-five years of community involvement with its Sapphire Ball on Saturday, December 7, 2013. The public is invited to join the festivities and help celebrate the event. This is the organization’s fifty-eighth charity ball.
The event, which is one of the organization’s most important fundraisers of the year, kicks off with cocktails hosted at some of Riverside’s most impressive homes, followed by dancing and dining at the Riverside Auditorium and Events Center.
The Junior League of Riverside is a women’s organization that works to improve the community through volunteerism and development of women’s potential. One of the Junior League’s latest projects is FitRiverside, which combats childhood obesity by encouraging family physical fitness, education and nutrition. The Riverside chapter is a member of the International Association of Junior Leagues, which boasts 155,000 members throughout North America and the U.K.
The Sapphire Ball will be held from 5:00 p.m. to midnight at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium, located at 3485 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside, CA 92501.
